DeviantART really needs to revamp its category system. i get tired of trying to figure out all the things this fits under.
Another piece for my art AP class. Im really happy with how it turned out because i love using color. i have so much freedom to do what i want now, i just have a hard time coming up with good material or completing it.
I will probably change the title. for some reason it just seemed really fitting at the moment.
my teacher thinks that i should cut off a couple inches from the left side of the picture for the benefit of the composition. i vehemently oppose this idea. if you could please give me some coherent insight why i should or shouldnt do so, please tell me.
Liquid Watercolor, Aquarelle and Prismacolor colored pencils on hot-pressed watercolor paper.
i disagree with your teacher's suggestion as well, for this reason: if you draw a line from the lower right corner through the bottom edge of the skittles bag, it also intersects the second (larger bag) in roughly the same spot, and then hits the upper left corner (i'm eyeballing this, so it's probably not exact). so roughly speaking, it's proportionate. if you take off two inches you'll ruin it.
does your teacher not do photography or something? i mean, i'm a complete hack, but i know how to frame a shot...
overall i like the idea (fractal and/or holographic nature of reality), and the colors (blue and yellow, in particular) are nice and complimentary.
